The improvements to the Rapid Repair system are in effect as of August 1st, 2010. Future Shop is now authorized to facilitate the repair of any laptop purchased from Future Shop.
While every Future Shop has at least one certified Dell technician, Dell has only authorized Future Shop to repair units that were purchased at Future Shop. Any Dell computers bought from Dell directly must be serviced by Dell directly (or whoever they've authorized to repair units under warranty bought directly from them.)
