Sharp aquos 1080p?

I recently purchased the 40 inch sharp aquos 1080p tv, but my xbox doesnt seem to look any better graphically and definatly does not like like hidefenition. I switched my xbox cable from tv to hdtv and on my xbox settings i switched it to 1080p but when i play cod6 it doesnt look as good as it does on other 1080p tv's. Am i missing a step somewhere?

Personally I would go with a HDMI cable to carry your video/Audio if your 360 has the port for it. It doesnt sound like you missed any steps by what your describing you did. When you say it doesn't look as good as on other 1080p tv's witch other tv's are you refering to and what type of hook up is used component as well?

Which cable are you using to connect your 360 to your TV?
I would agree with the above poster and say make use of a HDMI cable, if you are not already. Also, it sometimes takes more than simply switching to 1080p on your 360. There are a multitude of other graphics settings that you may have to tinker with to get the perfect look for your TV. Check out www.xbox.com for more information regarding these settings.

Most TVs can't in fact do 1080p through component, but rather only 1080i, which is why it might seem worse than other TVs which have surely been set up to work with 1080p. If you go through HDMI,then your TV and your 360 will most likely pick the best settings for you.
