Recycle your iPod?

When you click the iPods & MP3 Players tab, you can see the banner to trade in your iPod for recycling and get store credit. Since Future Shop isn't get the iPod to resell and their recycling it, do you think the store credit would be crappy? In your opinion please. (I have a 2nd gen iPod touch and I bought it December 2008). Planning on trading in so I can get the 4th gen because Apple is dropping the older models from software updates. Gotta stay ahead, ya know.

It's based on whatever the market value is for trade-in (it's a preset number, similar to the values set for video games).  If the iPod is worth anything, you'll get store credit.  If it's not, they'll take it off your hands at no charge for recycling.

Re: Recycle your iPod?

Is the ipod recycle program still available? I saw a few weeks ago (maybe a month now) that FutureShop was giving $30 for any old ipod trade in for a new iPod Touch 4th gen.

I can't see any mention of it anywhere on the FutureShop website anymore.

What happened to it?

It is now February 8, 2012.

Thank you!

Correct! We have that promotion from time-to-time so if its not going on right now at your store, just hold off and it will be back! Best value for an old mp3/ipod by far!
